Our Mission and Vision
We provide financial services that meet the unique needs of those who serve our community.
We seek to
Be the primary financial institution for City of Tucson employees and select groups
Be a mutually profitable and growing institution to better serve the financial needs of our members
Attract and retain high-quality employees who deliver exceptional service to our members
Tucson Old Pueblo Credit Union opened our doors in 1935 with 19 members and $30.75 in assets. We were originally established as “Tucson Municipal Employees Federal Credit Union” by the city firefighters, serving them and other City of Tucson employees, and were located at Fire Station One in downtown Tucson. In 1982 the we were successful in obtaining a state charter and expanded the field of membership. At that time our name was changed to “Tucson Employees Credit Union,” as we were neither municipal nor federal. In 1996 we changed our by-laws to offer financial services to all individuals recommended for membership by a current member, and again changed our name to the present “Tucson Old Pueblo Credit Union” reflecting the more open field of membership.
Through the years we have expanded our services considerably to meet the wants and needs of our members. Tucson Old Pueblo Credit Union remains committed to enhancing our products and services to support the emerging realities of today’s financial market.
